Q

emotional expression

What is reliability?

A

What was the results of the free labelling task

While there was significant variabilty the similarities were greater than chance

Q

Against reliability

What did researchers report when comparing ‘floating faces’ only, with those faces in a larger context ?

A

Researchers found that facial expressioned were perceived differently when context was added to the task.

To be reliable facial expression should be perceived uniformly with out their emotional valance dependent on context.
