What was the pacification of Ghent?
It was an alliance of provinces of the Netherlands working together for freedom of religion and the autonomy of the Netherlands. It was in direct response to a spanish massacre, the spanish fury.
What happens with France in the Netherlands?
They send in an army but nothing really happens and in the end they sign the treaty of joinville which put Spain and France into an anti-protestant alliance
