Rhythm
in poetry consists of the flow of sound through accents and syllables.
Meter
refers to the type and number of rhythmic units in a line of poetry. We call rhythmic units feet. Line or verse determines the basic rhythmic pattern of the poem.
Rhyme
is the coupling of words that sound alike to give structure to poetry.
Imagery
Is verbal representation of a sensory experience.

Are figures of speech by which new implications are given to words.
Personification
is a figure of speech in which abstract qualities, animals, or inanimate objects take on human characteristics.

Is an intentional exaggeration for emphasis or comic effect.
