What is a chemical symbol?
A chemical symbols are the international symbols for each element consisting of one or two letters. The first letter is always capitalized and the second letter is never capitalized.
What is a metal?
A metal is a element that is typically hard, shiny, malleable, ductile and good conductors of heat and electricity.
What is a non-metal?
A non-metal are elements that are typically not shiny, malleable, or ductile and that are poor conductors of heat and electricity. Non metals are usually gases or brittle solids at room temperature.
What is hydrogen? (H)
Hydrogen is a colourless, odourless, tasteless, and highly flammable gas.
What is iron? (Fe)
Iron is a very strong metal, especially when mixed with carbon to make steel.
What is oxygen? (O)
Oxygen is a non metal.
What is sodium? (Na)
Sodium is a metal but an unusual one.
