How do you draw the mechanism for electrophilic substitution?

Answer 1

1. Draw an arrow from the centre ring to the electrophile (e.g. Br+)
2. Redrew the benzene with a horshoe shaped centre, with the gap facing the top and draw a + in the middle
3. Connect a H and the elctrophile to the top point and draw an arrow from the H bond to the +
4. Redraw one last time with the full ring and only the electrophile bonded at the top + the H+
