Q

What is the emf of a cell

A

Energy that each coulumb of charge inside the cell/battery can obtain.

It is the amount of energy that enables the cell to allow one coulumb of charge to pass through it.

It is the potential difference of a cell when there is no electric current flowing

Q

What are the factors that influence the resistance of a conductor

A
  1. Type of material
Nichrome has a higher resistance than copper
  2. Length of conductor
The longer the conductor the higher the resistance
  3. Thickness
The thicker the conductor the smaller the resistance
  4. Temperature
The warmer the conductor the higher the resistance
