What will cause the ADG to deploy automatically in flight?
In the event of total AC power loss while the aircraft is in flight

Integrated Drive Generator

AC bus 1
When would you get the AC ESS ALTN switchlight on the electrical panel illuminted?
AC bus 1 does not power AC essential bus
What are the total number of generators on the aircraft?
four (2 IDGs, APU generator, ADG)
What would cause an IDG fault caution message to illuminate?
- low oil pressure
- high oil temperature
What would cause an IDG to disconnect automatically?
Can it be done manually?
Over temperature or over torque condition
by pressing IDG DISC switch on the electrical services panel.
What does the green AVAIL light of the external AC switchlight on the overhead panel indicate?
Power is connected and is the correct phase, frequency, and voltage
What does the green AVAIL light of the external DC switchlight on the overhead panel indicate?
Power is connected and is the correct voltage and polarity
