2015, 2024!!
2015 percentage of seats gained by minor parties compared to percentage won in popular vote was so unfair
same to some extent in 2024 , system massively benefitted labour party

what are the arguments against voter ID?

A
  • voter fraud is exceptionally rare
    electoral commission only dealt with 24 cases of voter fraud in 2017!! (0.0004% of electorate)
  • reduces participation as voter registration did in 2013
  • discriminatory against people from disadvantaged backgrounds (estimate 3.8million dont have necessary ID)
  • voter ID favours cons
