Pediatric Supraconduylar Fx Type (1-3) Nondisplaced
1
Pediatric Supraconduylar Fx Type (1-3) Gapping anteriorly
2
Pediatric Supraconduylar Fx Type (1-3) No cortical continuity
3
Terrible triad of elbow
Coranoid fracture, elbow dislocation, radial head fx

Type 2 Mason Fx.
(anything besides Comminuted)
What is commonly assoicated with Olecranon fx?
Avulsion injury of triceps.
Inability to extend elbow
How can you distinguish Olecranon fractures based on displacement
< 2mm - Type 1 - Stable
>2mm Type 2- stable
What is the most common dislocation in children ?
elbow- postlateral
10-20 years
Treatment for Elbow dislocation and RTP
reduction and splint in 90s degrees for 1 week followed by early ROM and hinged elbow brace
RTP in 4-6 weeks.
A positive lateral pivot shift test in someone with elbow pain would make you concerned for what?
LUCL Injury
Posterolateral instability
What is the cause of valgus extension overload?
Common in pitchers where elbow extension in full valgus stress will cause
the posteromedial tip of olcecranon and to impinge with the olecranon fossa causing osteophyte buildup.
