Walking boot with heel lift NWB 2x weeks with weight baring as tolerated the next 4 weeks follow with PT.
What kind of fracture assoicated with High ankle sprain?
Maisonneuvve
Radiographic evidence of High ankel sprain
Mortise view: > 5mm tibiofibular space Tibiofibular overlap of > 1mm or medial tibiotalar space of > 4mm
Grade 2 or 3 high ankle sprain treatment
Surgical consult. Sugartone splint with NWB 6-8 week
Typical Lisfrance MOA?
Hyperplantar flexion or crush Lateral medial cuniform to medial MT
Stage 1 Lisfranc tx
Immobilize with nwb 2 weeks. Repeat xray in 2 weeks Can move to orthotic if no pain If still pain 4 weeks in cast
