We resist routines and structures of everyday life so as to not lose our identity, our individuality, to resist this we must view habit as something which allows space for freedom rather than destroying it

The ways in which we conform to certain tastes is indicative of our social class but this conceals how people are shaped by their economic position, it hides the lack of choices for poorer people as they mistakenly equate ‘fancy’ foods as only being enjoyed by the upper classes
