Rules for monitoring effort

A

Distinguish vocal trauma from muscle ache
Listen harder to the muscles than the voice
Hold number till end of breath
Constant attention
No exercise is mastered until all unrelated tension is gone
MCVE (maintain most comfortable vocal effort)

A

Shake the hand of someone and isolate the effort in the hand clasp.
Give your effort a number and reveal the numbers and take turns demonstrating different numbers. 1-10
