A

Supervisor responsibilities?

A
  • Educate and train employees on EEO policy.
  • Monitor the workplace for violations or potential violations.
  • Stop the behavior.
  • Manage the effect of a complaint to make sure retaliation is not occurring.
  • Follow through with the complaint by taking immediate documented and corrective action.
  • Consult the EEO liaison in Fiscal.

Reporting procedure

A

Employees must file a complaint for the violation within 180 days.

  • Chain of command.

  • AZ Civil Rights Division of the AG’s Office

Informal reporting process

A
  • Mediation and resolution
  • Harassment and discrimination complaints and concerns will be addressed immediately
  • Request will be reviewed by PSB commander and EEO liaison to make sure informal process is appropriate
  • Supervisor will meet with the complainant to discuss the incident and requested resolution.
  • Immediate corrective action to ensure the offensive behavior stops
  • Discrimination/harassment report control form will be completed and sent to PSB for approval.
  • Supervisor will follow up 30-60 days from resolution to ensure the behavior has stopped and no retaliation

Formal reporting process

A
  • Once a claim has been filed, the PSB commander and EEO liaison will determine if chain of command, PSB or outside agency will investigate.
  • If chain of command conducts the investigation, completed investigation will be forwarded to PSB
  • Employee under investigation can have union representation
  • Investigation will be completed within 90 days
  • Findings will be classified in Ops Orders 3.19
