Edulastic (Problem/Impact & PVPs) Flashcards
Formative/Summative
Problem: Using many different tools for formative and summative assessments
Impact: Gathering consistent aggregated data is a challenge
We cut down on the hassle of having to navigate a multitude of assessment platforms with an intuitive tool that has the flexibility to be used across both summative and formative assessments.
Formative/Summative
Problem: Assessment solutions are difficult to use
Impact: low adoption rates makes it challenging to progress monitor and gain consistent data
Teachers use our help to easily create unique tests through extensive item banks and receive simple but powerful reporting that helps teachers target students for intervetion and inform their lesson planning based on class performance.
PLCs/Common Assessments
Problem: no standardization at the school/district level making it difficult to track data, identify trends
Impact: Difficult to make informed instructional decisions and address all learning needs
Districts are using our help to scale out common formative assessments across schools, grade levels, and among teachers in order to consisently track student growth and inform instructional decisions.
PLCs/Common Assessments
Problem: a lack of collaborative features to co-create assessments and review student data
Impact: less time spent discussing instructional strategies, lesson plans, and identifying students for intervention
We make it easier for PLCs to not only collaborate on the creation and implementation of common assessments, but also in making instructional decisions based on data driven insights.
Benchmark/Interms
Problem: current solution can lack granular reporting or reporting that is difficult to interpret, have limited standard aligned questions, and even be difficult to use
Impact: less actionable data to drive instructional decisions and in identifying students in need of support; time consuming to create benchmarks
School and district leaders can easily build and assign standard aligned benchmark assessment and use insights from reporting to build professional development and coaching plans based on grade and class progress.
State Test Preparation
Problem: lack of advanced item bank questions (tech-enhanced) and accessibility features that mirror state test
Impact: difficult for students to practice different question types and time consuming for teachers to create practice opportunities
We reduce the stress on both students and teachers when it comes to test preparation with efficient ways to create low stakes practice, immediate feedback across the standards, and digital environments that mirror state tests.
Reporting
Problem: assessments and data siloed in many different systems
Impact: difficult to gain complete insights with how students, grade levels, or specific student populations are doing
Administrators use our help to gather district or school wide data without the operational challenges of having to consolidate from multiple sources.
Reporting
Problem: current reports are difficult to navigate and use
Impact: harder for teachers and administrators to gain the insights needed to support students
We make it easier for educators to access and interpret disaggregated student data to help them make informed decisions around instruction, supplemental supports, and curricular pacing plans in order to work towards eliminating achievement gaps.
Accessibility
Problem: looking for accessibiity features that mirror state tests
Impact: difficult to equitablly prepare all students for state testing
We help districts prepare all students for state tests with the ability to apply testing accomodations that directly reflect their unique testing environment.
Accessibiity
Problem: some technology tools lack accessibility features that support student learning needs
Impact: Potential technology inequities and difficult for all students to have an equal opportunity to demonstrate their learning
We help districts create equitable testing opportunities that empower all students to confidently be able to demonstrate their own learning.
Ease of Use
Problem: difficult to use digital tools, so many tools used across the district gets confusing
Impact: tech fatigue, low adoption rates
We lessen the stress on teachers when it comes to utilizing technology with robust training options and solutions designed using learning science principles that ensure they are easy to use, support best practices, and are backed by results.
Learning Recovery
Problem: Learning recovery has resulted in a wide range of abilities teachers face in their classrooms
Impact: hard for teachers to gain consistent data to identify strengths and weaknesses; districts seeking ways to provide more individualized support to get students caught up
We make it easier for teachers to gather the data needed to create and adapt learning acceleration roadmaps and ensure students have the personalzied support needed to close gaps.
