What do Marxists think about education?
It’s there to produce a well behaved workforce and reproduced inequalities (through each generation).
What do Functionalists think about education?
It passes on society’s culture, produces a trained workforce and selects the right people for the right roles in society.
What do Feminists think about education?
Education emasculates women and makes them feel inferior to men.

Thought Education was too easy and so introduced free schools to raise standards (free schools are set up by te parents and they’re free of local authority control and money comes from the central government). Pupil Premium targeted low income families and gave money to support their learning, uniform and equipment.
