A growth mindset is a belief that intelligence can be developed as a fixed mindset is that people are born with a set amount of intelligence.
Understand that concept of self-efficacy and how it is applied to college.
Self-efficacy is a belief that you are capable of reaching a goal this can be factored by performance experience, vicarious performances, verbal persuasion, imaginal performances, and affective states and physical sensations. (imagine that you are good beforehand)

Throughout the phases of life ones values and interests changes, the older you are you are more likely to commit more to long term things because of your values

settings goals can help one be motivated and actually achieve what they want to achieve.

motivation from the outside that have compensation, punishment, and reward.
How to apply the smart goal model to your goals?
set goals positively, write goals down and put them somewhere prominent, share goal to build a support system, stay motivated with what you find fun.

Multitasking is basically switchtasking, which causes a task to take longer, have more of a chance for mistakes, increase stress, training brain not to focus.

“background tasking” a mindless task that can be done at the same time as another task.

Personal tech may affect focus due to the small dopamine hits it provides but with studying apps that can help you time the time that you study it is useful.
