trauma, CP, cardiac arrest, severe resp distress, chemical to eye limb amputation, neurodefects

delayed (priority 2)
need treatment between 20 min to 2 hrs
ex of yellow tag
fever > 104, kidney stone, fracture, abd pain, asthma with no resp distress
describe green tag
minor (priority 3)
can wait 1-2 hrs
ex of green tag
sprain, minor laceration, cold symptoms, rash
describe levels of triage
1) emergent
2) urgent
3) nonurgent
what is emergent
resp distress, hemorrhage, chest pain
what is urgent
abd pain, fractures, tissue injury
what is nonurgent
skin rash, sprain, cold
what are cardiac emergencies
cardiogenic shock CHF pericarditis cardiac tamponade cardiac arrest
what is mechanism of injury
manner of injury occured (ie/ blunt, accel or deccel, penetrate)
describe blunt
doesnt leave an open wound

airway and cervival spine stabilization breathing circulation disability (LOC) exposure
extended version of primary survey
full set of vitals
give comfort
head to toe assessment
inspect posterior surface
