williams diagnostic criteria: itchy skin and at least 3 of: 1. onset before two years 2. past skin crease involvement 3. history of generally dry skin 4. personal history/FH of atopy (if under 4 can be on cheeks or forehead) 5. flexural dermatitis

what are symptoms of eczema?
A
pruritis
weeping, red scratches
lichenification

what is the management of eczema?
A
conservative:
- cut nails
- cotton clothes
- avoid irritants
EMOLIENTS
- liberally at least twice a day
topical steroids for flare up

A
hydrocortisone
clobetosone
betamethasone
fludroxycortide
