Enviornment
All the biotic and abiotic factors that surround an organism
Biotic
A type of factor that is living, such as a bird.
Abiotic
A type of factor that is nonliving, such as a TV
Niche
A job that one animal has in its ecosystem.
Community
Organisms that live together with in an ecosystem makes up a community.
Species
All members of a population are members of the same species.
Ecosystem
Is all the living and nonliving things in an area.
Adaptation
A change in an organism to better fit an ecosystems
Population
A group of organisms of one species that live in an are at the same time
Habitat
The place in an ecosystem in which an organism lives
Biome
A specific area which has different climates and ecosystems.
Taiga
Taiga is the largest land biome on earth. This region typically has long, cold winters and short, mild and wet summers.
Deciduous Forest
Deciduous Forests can be found in United States, Canada, Europe, China, Japan and Russia. Deciduous Forests have four seasons.
Rainforest
Tropical rainforests are located close to the equator. Rainforests are wet and warm all year. There Average temperatures are 70 degrees to 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
Grasslands
The weather in the grasslands varies greatly. it is cold in the winter and hot in the summer. The most likely plants to see is grass itself.
Desert
The desert covers about one fifth of the earth. Deserts are both hot and cold with very little rainfall. Plants the live in the desert are great at storing water like cacti.
Tundra
The tundra covers about one fifth of the earth. It is the coldest biome on earth and can reach temperatures of -50 degrees Fahrenheit.
Decomposer
An organism that eats dead plants and animals is called Decomposers, An example would be bacteria
Carnivore
A carnivore is a consumer that only eats meat
Producers
Plants are considered Producers. They make their own food.
Herbivore
Zebras are herbivores. They eat only plants.
Consumer
A Consumer has to take in energy to survive.
Omnivore
An omnivore is an organism that eats both plants and animals.
Food Web
A group of interconnected food chains.
Food Chain
An order of which animal eats another animal or a plant.
