What are the 6Rs

A
  • Reduce - using less material, use fewer materials.
  • Rethink - reconsidering all aspects of the design. Find other ways of designing the product to make them more environmentally friendly.
  • Refuse - Not accepting things that are not the best solution for the environment.
  • Recycle - breaking or melting the material down and making it into a new product,
  • Reuse - Reusing components meaning no energy is needed to change the shape of the part.
  • Repair - Repairing increases the usable life of a product
