O157:H7 and shiga toxin producing e.coli
Low infectious dose, primarily target colon
Can cause diarrhea and dysentery
Can lead to HUS

Watery and mucoid diarrhea
HUS
Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome
5-10% get following STEC (type of EHEC)
Develops 7 days later when diarrhea is improving
Can lead to kidney failure
