Q

PR wave

A

PR: not much change. Depolarization of atria. this can’t change as then the ventricles and atria contracting at the same time which can’t happen

Q

TP wave

A

TP
- time interval must shorten to fit in more beats to supply more oxygen to body
TP: diastole of all chambers.

Q

Why does it happen

A
  • using more muscles so you use more oxygen and glucose for energy through cellular respiration
  • removal of waste means that body must still pump oxygen to muscles so heart rate is still high but not as high

Q

systole and diastole

A

PQ is atrial systole (flat part between p and q)

RT: ventricular systole

everywhere there is not systole. there is diastole.

A

AV node holds the signal for a bit to allow atria to finish contracting before ventricles.
