Respiratory sinus arrhythmia
Normal

Causes
Vagal hyperactivity
Pain
Vomiting
B blockers
WPW

Delta wave
Can lead to SVT and VFib
Give adenosine for SVT
Adenosine toxicity
Chest pain
Hypotension
Flushing
Discomfort
MAT multi focal atrial tachycardia
V distinct P waves
COPD/ hypoxemia
Sudden onset palpitations and increased HR = AFib
No p waves
Give warfarin
Rate and rhythm control
Prolonged PR interval
Normal under0.2 s
First degree heart block
Increased vagal activity in healthy
Elderly with SA dysfunction
SE of digitalis
Progressive lengthening of PR interval until QRS dropped
Mobitz 1
Wenckeback
Don’t need tx
Dropped QRS
no PR lengthening
Mobitz 2
Get pacemaker
P waves and QRS waves all mixed up!
3rd degree AV block
Get pacemaker
SE of Lyme disease
Wide QRS complex
Ventricular tachycardia
Torsades de pointes can become VFib
Triggered by Long QT
Congenital - JLN w/ sensorineural deafness
Drugs - class 1a, 3 procainamide
