ECG Flashcards
ST wave elevation
STEMI
Tall T waves
Hyperkalaemia - increased extracellular potassium
Hyper-acute STEMI
Inferior STEMI
Leads II, III and aVF
Anteroseptal
V1-4
Anterior
V1-V6
Lateral
I, aVL
Anterolateral (Extensive Anterior)
I, aVL and V1-V6
Posterior
V1 and V2
These are mirror image changes
Polymorphic VT
VT from multiple sources, meaning that they move around the heart
Characteristics of Ventricular Tachycardia
Rapid and wide QRS complexes
T waves with large deflection
Regular Ventricular Rhythm
P waves not visible
A-V dissociation
Supraventricular Tachycardia
Regular, fast, narrow QRS complexes
Hyperkalaemia changes on ECG
Tall T waves
Small P waves
Widened QRS complex
AVNRT on ECG
- Normal QRS
- P waves are either not seen or visible immediately before or after QRS complex
Atrial Fibrillation
Fine oscillations of the baseline
No clear P waves
QRS rhythm is rapid and regular
Atrial Flutter
Regular sawtooth waves between QRS complexes
