ECG Flashcards
1
Q
COPD ECG Changes
A
- R axis deviation
- ‘P pulmonale’ – tall, peaked P wave in leads II, III and aVF
2
Q
Pulmonary Embolism
A
- Sinus tachycardia – most common
- R axis deviation
- RBBB
- “S1Q3T3” pattern (rare – usually MASSIVE PE)

A
Causes – renal failure, diuretics
ECG Changes –
- Pwave flattening
- QRS complex broadens
- Tall, peaked Twaves
- ST segment ‘disappears’
