ECG Flashcards
Conn’s Syndrome *
Flat T
ST depression
Long QT
Long PR
Hyperkalaemia
Tall tented T waves
Small P waves
Wide QRS
Hypokalaemia
Small/inverted T waves
Depressed ST segments
Long PR
Long QT
Prominent U waves
Hypocalcaemia
Long QT interval
Hypercalcaemia
Tented T waves
Short QT interval
Acute Coronary Syndrome *
- If ECG shows ST elevation = STEMI
- If ECG shows ST depression, deep T wave inversion look at troponins
- If troponins normal = unstable angina
- If troponins are abnormal = NSTEMI
Angina *
Usually normal, may show ST depression and T wave inversion
AVNRT
P waves not visible and normal QRS
Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome
Shortened PR interval, slurred start and narrow QRS
Atrial Fibrillation
Irregularly irregular, F waves, no clear P waves, rapid and irregular QRS complex
First Degree Heart Block
Long PR interval
Third Degree Heart Block
P waves and QRS complexes independent
Bundle Branch Block
R wave in V1 and V6 on RBBB
Slurred S wave in V1 and R wave in V5/6 in LBBB
Pericarditis
Concave ST, PR depression - saddle shaped
Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy
Abnormal, deep T wave inversion
