Focus was 18 miles below sea floor
Shifted the Sea Bed VERTICALLY by 8 metres
Waves produced were a peak height of 40 m and reached inland more than 6 miles.
Tsumani killed 20,000 people. Cost of damage estimated at US 360 Billion dollars.
Nuclear reactor went in to melt down in Fukusheima
