Statins
decrease LDL, not good for isolated high TG
side effects: myopathy, rhabdomyolysis, headache
Omega-3 ethyl esters
dosing varies (1-2x daily), can cause prolonged bleeding, impaired platelet function/production
Gemfibrozil
inhibits cholesterol synthesis
Decreases: TC, LDL, TG**
Increases: HDL
600mg bid
side effects: nausea, diarrhea, cholelithiasis, phototoxicity

Fenofibrate

DECREASES: TG and LDL
INCREASES: LPL and HDL
