Q

Motion of an object in a uniform gravitational field

A

Initially the air resistance is negligable when the object is experiencing free fall. As velocity increases due to the downward force of the weight, air resistance increases. Resultant force decreases therefore acceleration also decreases. Eventually when air resistance is equal to weight, acceleration=0. Terminal velocity.

Q

Perfectly elastic collisions

A

These are collisions in which the total kinetic energy remains the same before and after the collision. The relative speed of approach=relative speed of seperation
