Describe Find
A targeting start point for intelligence collection. Often takes the form of target nominations. Can be deliberate or opportunity- based

- Potential HVI detected and nominated for further development
Describe Fix
Applying intelligence collection capability to “fix” a target in space and time. There is enough intel and information collection to execute the mission.
Output:
- Target ID
- Enough Accuracy required for target location
Describe Finish
Adapting a known drill IOT rapidly execute
Lethal ops where SOF close with and destroy or seize facilities, equipment, or personnel
Also non-kinetic:
- Political or social
Describe Exploit
The main effort of F3EAD, most critical single step in the process. This leads to finding, fixing, and finishing of the next target and perpetuating the cycle.
Process of analyzing, examining, interrogating, and processing captured enemy personnel, equipment, and materials for intelligence
What are the four goals of exploitation
Force Protection:
- Prevent attacks on friendly forces
Targeting:
- Enable lethal and non-lethal ops against the enemy

- Determine the origin and routing material for source, purpose and intent

- Edidence applied to ensure successful prosecution

Information used in previous phases is turned into intelligence to drive operations.
It can be done internally, externally (Send back to CONUS)
