Rule 37: Must promote and protect client’s interests without regard to own interest or others.
Rule 38: Must inform client about ALTERATIVES to litigation unless already adequately informed.
Rule 39: Must help client understand case and give proper instructions.
Rule 40: Must ADVISE on any law/procedure that could offer an advantage if client pleads guilty.
Rule 42: duty to client not breached if forensic judgment exercised contrary to client’s WISHES if necessary.
Rule 56: Must inform if unable to COMPLY with court timelines or complete work promptly.
