What is a duress word?
A duress word is a word or phrase that can be inserted into a normal conversation to indicate that a person is under duress.
Why do we have duress words?
to ensure all personnel authorized unescorted entry into restricted areas have a means to covertly alert others if they’re under duress or being coerced.
Where are the only places duress words can be used?
In restricted areas
What we will do if the duress words are compromised?
Change them immediately
Who needs to know the duress words?
All personnel working within restricted or controlled areas have a need to know the primary and alternate duress words as well as how to use them.

The duress words are down channeled from S5XP
How can duress procedures be initiated?
Active or passively
What are the procedures for duress on a BDOC controller?
The Flight Sergeant will take control of the net until the next BDOC-certified controller can assume c2 of the radio net. Patrols will respond and await authorization to enter the facility using the code to gain access. If patrols fail to gain access, alt BDOC will initiate the barricaded suspect QRC.
