2 separate +ve blood cultures w/ organisms typical of IE (strep viridans, strep bovis, HÁČEK group, staph aureus, enterococci)
Echocardiographic evidence of endocardial involvement

Immunological phenomena: glomerulonephritis, Osler nodes, Roth spots, RF
Microbiological: +ve blood cultures but not meeting major criterion
