Epinephrine 1:10,000-Cardiac arrest
1 mg IV/IO q 3-5 min
Vasopressin- cardiac arrest
40 U IV/IO, single dose; Optional: may replace 1st or 2nd dose of Epi
Atropine - symptomatic brady
0.5 mg IV/IO May repeat 3-5 min prn to a max of 3 mg
Dopamine - symptomatic bradycardia
2-10 mcg/kg/min IV/IO infusion
Amiodarone - VF/VT arrest:
300 mg IV/IO; may redose PRN at 150 mg in 3-5 min
Max dose fo cardiac arrest: 450 mg
Amiodarone: tachycardia w/ pulse
150 mg diluted in 100 ml adm IV/IO over 10 min
May repeat q 10 min PRN to a max of 2.2 gm/24 hrs
Lidocaine: option for VT/VF; stable monomorphic or polymorphic VT
1-1.5 mg/kg IV/IO
Repeat dose PRN 0.5-0.75 mg/kg q 5 min
Max dose 3 mg/kg
Mg++ Sulfate: Polymorphic VT arrest
1-2 gm diluted in 10 ml IV/IO
Mg++ Sulfate: Torsades de Pointes w/ pulse
1-2 gm diluted in 50-100 ml IV/IO over 5-60 min
Procainamide -Wide QRS tachycardia
20-50 mg/min IV/IO
Max dose 17 mg/kg
Stop dose when arrhythmia is suppressed, low BP, QRS widens by >50% or max dose is reached
MT dose 1-4 mg/min
Na+Bicarb - cardiac arrest
1 mEq/kg IV/IO; repeat PRN 0.5 mEq/Kg q 10 min
use only in known acidosis, hyperkalemia or prolonged CPR with effective ventilation
Adenosine - SVT
6 mg rapid IV/IO
Repeat dose PRN (once only) 12 mg after 1-2 min
Follow drug adm with 20-30 ml saline flush
Maximimum dose 18 mg
Dextrose -Hypoglycemia
