What are statins? (suffix)
A
Statins/antilipidemic drugs end with, you guessed it, -statin, including atorvastatin (Lipitor) and simvastatin (Zocor). These are anti-cholesterol drugs that reduce LDL cholesterol and cardiovascular disease

Drug suffix ‘mab’
A
Monoclonal Antibodies. Identical cells, Cloned in a lab. Share the same target tissue/cell. Typical in oncology treatment. Think Nivolumab, a type of targeted therapy drug called an immune checkpoint inhibitor (a type of immunotherapy).
All monoclonal antibody names assigned until 2021 end with the stem -mab;
NOTE: newer names have different stems
