Section 4 (2) Misuse of Drugs Act 1971?
Creates an offence for a person to produce a controlled drug or to be concerned in the production of such a drug.
Section 4 (3) Misuse of Drugs Act 1971?
Creates an offence for a person to supply or offer a controlled drug to another or to be concerned in the supplying of such a drug to another.
Section 5 (2) Misuse of Drugs Act 1971?
Creates an offence to have a controlled drug in their possession without lawful authority.
Section 5 (3) Misuse of Drugs Act 1971?
Creates an offence to have a controlled drug whether lawfully or not with intent to supply to another.
Section 8 Misuse of Drugs Act 1971?
A person commits an offence if, being the occupier or concerned in the management of any premises, he knowingly permits or suffers any of the following activities to take place on those premises, that is to say:
- producing or attempting to produce a controlled drug
- supplying or attempting to supply a controlled drug to another or offering to supply a controlled drug to another
- preparing opium for smoking
- smoking cannabis, cannabis resin or prepared opium

What is is the statutory defences for possession under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971?
- The individual took possession of it for the purpose of preventing another from committing or continuing to commit an offence in connection with that drug.
- As soon as possible taking possession of it they took all such steps as were reasonably open to them to destroy the drug or to deliver it into custody of a person lawfully entitled to possess the drug.

Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act 1971?

If you have reasonable goods to suspect that any person is in possession of a controlled drug you may without warrant:
- Search and detain that person
- Search any vehicle or vessel in which you suspect the drugs may be found
- Require the person in charge of the vehicle or vessel to stop it
Seize and detain anything found in connection with the offence
