Stimulants: Speed up the activity of chemicals in the brain. -Caffeine -Cocaine Depressants: Slow down the activity in parts of the brain and nervous system. -Alcohol -Cannabis -Heroin Hallucinogens: Affect all the senses, altering perceptions and causing hallucinations. -LSD -Psilocybin (magic mushrooms)
