A paper insert or document that explains potential, serious adverse reactions or side effects of a medication for patients
MedGuide
Online drug information databases; may be state-specific ones (multiple sites)
Clinical Pharmacology, Micromedex, Lexicomp, Facts and Comparisons E-Answers
Keeps pharmacy technicians updated about new or removed meds, and changes to pharmacy

Now digital reference (previously a large book) that contains a compilations of drug package inserts
Physicians’ Desk Reference, now Prescriber’s Digital Reference
A resource containing standards for medications, supplements, etc. and is also useful for compounding
United States Pharmacopoeia National Formulary (USP-NF)
Resource for parenteral meds and their administration requirements, as well as dosing, handling, etc.; great for long-term care
