Required for pharmacists to give certain vaccines
$100 every 3 years
Adult vaccines pharmacists are allowed to give:
Influenza
Pneumococcal
Acute herpes zoster
Hep A/B
HPV
MMRV
COVID-19
Meningococcal
Tetanus
Diphtheria or pertussis
Vaccines pharmacists can administer to children (2-18yrs)

Vaccine documentation requirements
- must report immunizations given to patients UNDER 19 years old to NYSIIS [non-NYC] or the City Immunization Registry (CIR) [NYC]
- Report immunizations administered to patients OVER 19 years old to NYSIIS or CIR upon the consent of the patient
- Report to the patient’s PCP upon consent of the patient within 1 month of administration
For graduating interns: Does immunization certification automatically transfer over to pharmacy license?
No, the certification will be added to your limited permit, but you will need to submit a Pharmacist Immunization Certification Form, fee, & supporting documentation to obtain immunization certification as a licensed pharmacist

Private area including
- clearly visible posting of the most current recommended adult immunization schedule from ACIP
- education materials on flu vaccines for children

What medications (non-vaccinations) can pharmacists administer?
Pharmacists with Immunization Certification may administer medications for the emergency treatment of anaphylaxis to patients 2 years and older
Which emergency drugs are pharmacists allowed to provide
Overdose: Naloxone
Anaphylaxis: Epinephrine
HIV: up to a 7 day supply of HIV PEP pursuant to a non-patient specific order and protocol
