BRAKE CHECK MEASUREMENT:
A
- Park on level ground.
- Chock wheels.
- Put into 1st gear.
- Shut off engine, then release clutch.
- Release all brakes. (Push Parking Valves in)
- Mark all Push-Rods with chalk at 0 point, where they go into Brake Canister.
- Apply Parking Brakes (Pull Parking Valves out).
- Measure from chalk mark to brake canister.
- Must be Less than 2”.

Parking on Uphill:
A
- Turn Wheels to Left within 18” of curb.
- Roll unto you touch tire to curb.
- Set Parking Brakes.
- Put into Neutral.

How to park on Downhill:
A
- Turn Wheels to Right within 18” of curb.
- Roll until you touch tire to curb.
- Set Parking Brakes.
- Put into Neutral.

DOWNHILL PROCEDURE:
A
- Stop at brake check or other safe area.
- Check the Brakes.
- Proceed downhill in proper gear at posted speed.
- Do NOT Shift, use Clutch, or use Controlled Braking while scanning for hazards.
- Note: must be able to explain and demonstrate these during driving portion of the test.
