Road, bridge, carriageway, cartway,horse way, bridle way, footway,causeway, pavements
S87 RTA driving without a licence
An offence to drive on road a MV without a liscense or failing to update address on licence
What is required of provisional drivers
L plates
Supervision who is 21+ and held liscense for over 3 years
S103 RTA disqualified
An offence to drive whilst disqualified
What reasons can you get your liscenve revocated
Suspension
Medical grounds
Failure to surrender
S143 road traffic act
Requires correct insurance
Sec 47 RTA MOT
Offence to use MV without MOT certificate
RTA police power
A police officer has power to stop any MPV on road. If person doesn’t stop and runs on premises s17 of PACE enter to arrest
Sec 165 RTA power to seize
Can seize vehicle if reasonable belief that driver does not have suitable liscence
Vehicle is not adequalty insured.
If driver fails to stop can be seized for 24 hours
