Must stop before crossing stop line or crosswalk until green light

Equivalent to a stop sign

Change lanes because the direction of travel is about to reverse

People may cross the road- watch for vehicles
Vehicles must yield the right-of-way to pedestrians

Steady: Don’t walk across
Flashing: Do not start to cross, finish crossing if started

Stop
