Describe the history of drill and ceremonies
From 1775-1778 revolutionary forces were created with little or no organization , control, discipline, or teamwork.
Recognizing this general Washington through Ben Franklin the American ambassador to France enlisted the aid of Persian officer baron Friedrich com Steuben to correct the conditions. He set to work and wrote drill movements and regulations that made discipline a part of military life.
