1. Connect first. Pause. Notice what they’re doing and say something to connect. You’re watching on the tablet with Kahlan. What’s it about? Maybe in morning spend some time connecting b4 you try to get dressed
2. Boundaries. When they show they can’t listen, remove the option. E.g. hold them in parking lot so they don’t bolt. Lock doors so they don’t bolt.
3. Lenses: they’re not giving us a hard time, they’re having a hard time
