- Length of platform
- Which side the platform is on
- Distance to stopping mark
How does the train read the Balise Beacon?
One beacon reader on each Tc Car.
When do Stopping Aid Cameras come on?
Automatically 10 metres prior to stopping mark
Where does the driver have to stop the train?
With stopping mark between the two red lines - ideally on the green line
What conditions have to be met for the stopping aid cameras to come on?
The beacon that is read must match the expected station in the PIDS control.
This ensures cameras don’t activate when running through express stations
What can you do if stopping aid cameras don’t come on automatically
Manually turn them on with the SDU
What happens if driver selects wrong side doors?
Alarm will appear

or
Balise Beacon is defective
What happens during a ASDC Beacon Read Failure?
Doors will be inhibited
Stopping Aid Cameras will fail
eTIS will raise alert informing driver to override
How does ASDC Override Button work?
Determine which side platform is on and press corresponding ASDC button
No alarm will be given if incorrect side is overridden
TMS will indicate the chosen side as green on the pictogram
