When should you start documenting a new hired employee?
Once START the PROCESS of hiring them
What should you do with resumes at the start of hiring?
keep the resumes and interview notes for at least one year in case those who didnt get hired claim that you discriminated them, suggestion: keep for 5 years

Specific instead of vague
Record Conversations
e.g. Judy did not finish the report on time that was due June 10. She turned it in June 30th
VS
Judy submitted work late
