What is Doctrine 5?
We believe that our first parents were created in a state of innocency, but by their disobedience they lost their purity and happiness, and that in consequence of their fall all men have become sinners, totally depraved, and as such are justly exposed to the wrath of God.
What is Doctrine 6?
WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ has by
His suffering and death made an atonement
for the whole world so that whosoever will
may be saved.

Define: “redemption” and describe how Jesus is our redeemer. Include biblical references.
Redemption is provision made by God. Through the sacrifice of His Son
Jesus Christ, for humanity’s deliverance from sin and its eternal consequences.
Colossians 1:13-14
“He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
What are the three basic aspects of Doctrine 6?
1) The Atoning Death—The Death of Jesus
2) The Provision—Salvation for Everyone
3) The Response—Personal Decision to be Saved
