HHV type 5, in immune compromised: interstitial pneumonia.
in neonates: congenital abnormalities: brain calcification and hepatosplenomegaly
exanthema subitum
HHV type 6. 6th disease. sudden rash and fever
kaposi sarcoma
in AIDS patients HHV type 8, purplish oral or skin lesion
Hepatitis B
blood and sex, jaundice and tender liver. Only hepa virus that is DNA
Adeno virus
viral conjunctivitis, pink eye
variola
smallpox, guarneri inclusion bodies, officially eradicated
Papilloma virus
HPV 16 and 18, direct contact, genital warts and cervical cancer.
HPV 1 and 4 warts on hands and feet
pox virus
molluscum contagiosum. papular lesions with central indentation (umbilication)
