A

-In a DNA molecule there are 2 polynucleotide strands twisted around each other
-they form a double helix
-the sugars and phosphates are on the outside (hydrophillic phosphate groups on the very outside of the molecule
-the bases point inwards and are joined by H bonds
-2 polynucleotide strands antiparallel as they run in opposite directions
