What is a Licence class R
Ride motor bike or trike OTHER than a motor vehicle with body type.
What is a C class licence?
Drive MV with GVM not more than 4.5T; constructed or equipped to seat NOT more than 12 adults including driver; a car based trike; and a tractor or implement; tow a single trailer with GVM not greater than 9T. (Not a motorbike or tike)

Medium Ridged
Drive MV with 2 axels and GVM greater than 8T; tow single trailer (not semi trailer) with GVM not greater than 9T. (plus any lower class veh, Not a motorbike or tike)
What is a HR class licence?
Heavy Ridged
Drive MV (including articulated bus, but not any other articulated veh)that has 3 axels and a GVM greater then 8T; tow a single trailer (not semi trailer) with a GVM not greater than 9T. (plus any lower class veh, Not a motorbike or tike)
What is a HC licenece?
Heavy Combination
Drive a MV and prime mover with a single semi trailer plus any unladden converter dolly, or ridgid MV to which is attached a trailer with a GVM greater than 9T plus any unladden converter dolly. (plus any lower class veh, Not a motorbike or tike)
What is a MC lincence?
Multi Combination
Drive any MV or combination of vehicles EXCEPT motor bike / trike.
